What is Gut ?
The gut (gastrointestinal tract) is the long tube that starts at the mouth and ends at the back passage (anus).The mouth is the first part of the gut (gastrointestinal tract). When we eat, food passes down the gullet (oesophagus), into the stomach, then into the small intestine, large intestine, colon, rectum and finally the toxic waste outside the body through anus. The gut (gastrointestinal tract) helps in digesting the food that is breaking the food in the mouth to absorbing the nutrients from each food in the stomach to excreting the waste substances, undigested food and germs as faeces.
